All our coaches and assistant coaches are certified professional members of the United States Fencing Association with annual background screening through the USFA and the National Center for Safety Initiatives.

Certified Foil and Saber Coach since 2001 by the USFA Coaches College

With more than 40 years of fencing experience I designe, plan, and implement all our fencing training programs. Currently I coach foil and saber to all my students from the beginning to the advance level. 

Fencing has been my passion since I was 11 years old, and fencing is still the one thing I am passionate about it.

MARCO CANEVARI

Epee Coach

Profencing welcomes Coach Marco Canevari, who will be leading our epee program.

Marcos  fenced for the OSU varsity team and won the individual event at the 2013 NCAA Epee  Championships,  and the TEAM Epee event in the 2012 NCAA Championships. 

Marcos is from Milan, Italy and started fencing when he was 9 years old and  was part of the Italian Junior Fencing Team obtaining excellent results at the International level.

 

 

DR. NICK JEW

Team Captain

Dr. Nick Jew
From Texas Joined Profencing since 2010
and is one of our best  skilled fencers.    
While at the University of Texas, Nick was an aide for the university courses in introductory and intermediate fencing with Coach Paul Schimelman.  . Following graduation from the University of Texas with a BS in Biomedical Engineering, Nick moved to Columbus where he is now a veterinarian who graduated from  the Ohio State University in June of 2013.
