All our coaches and assistant coaches are certified professional members of the United States Fencing Association with annual background screening through the USFA and the National Center for Safety Initiatives.

Certified Foil and Saber Coach since 2001 by the USFA Coaches College
With more than 40 years of fencing experience I designe, plan, and implement all our fencing training programs. Currently I coach foil and saber to all my students from the beginning to the advance level.
Fencing has been my passion since I was 11 years old, and fencing is still the one thing I am passionate about it.
Andrew Hock
Junior Foil Coach
Andrew is a senior who has been with Profencing since he was 12 year old.
A very athletic and talented fencer, full committed to his training and to the club.
Andrew always helps younger fencers and his peers.
During the Summer he assists in running Summer Camps.
Currently he is preparing to become a certified foil Coach and helps to run our intro programs in Upper Arlington and at the club.
Judith Bassik
Veteran Fencer and Team Captain
Judith has been with Profencing since 2016.
She grew up in Fairlawn, NJ, and trained at Salle Santelli, NJ.
She was a top-placing high school fencer, coming in 5th in the US Junior Olympics in 1984.
She fenced 4 years on the University. of Pennsylvania fencing team and earned 1st team All-Ivy recognition and was a member of the NCAA finalist team.
Today, Judith is a Digital Health Manager at Nordic Global Consulting.
She is member of Central Ohio Fencing Division m and a mom to an HS senior fencer.
Judith competes in local and national tournaments including the North America Cup (NAC).
As of Feb 2024, she is ranked #5 nationally in the Women’s Veteran 50 Age Category.
